Blaze Pizza taps Qu to boost order, operational efficiencies

Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza is deploying the Qu unified commerce platform, a cloud-native system, to improve ordering and operational efficiency across its entire franchise system.

The technology provides better order accuracy and kitchen fulfillment, which can reduce the cost of labor as well as food waste, according to a press release.

Qu will support Blaze’s plans for aggressive expansion over the next five years with a solid, unified data foundation and effortless user experience on the front end.

The decision to begin a systemwide rollout of Qu’s platform was finalized after the success of a pilot program involving corporate and franchised locations.

“The advanced and forward-looking nature of Qu’s cloud computing and real-time access to data makes it so much easier to get a holistic view of our operations and efficiency,” Beto Guajardo, CEO of Blaze Pizza, said in the release. “We’ve already seen a marked improvement in revenues and guest experience through fewer lost orders and higher order accuracy.”

Blaze Pizza was established in 2011 by Rick and Elise Wetzel, the co-founders of the Wetzel’s Pretzels chain.
