Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria, which has two locations in St. Louis, Missouri, said the brand has experienced “instant success” with its retail frozen pizza and pasta line, according to a press release.
“In the first six weeks we sold 50,000 pizzas and I realized I had a hit and a totally new viable business model,” Katie Lee, Founder of Katie’s Pizza and Pasta, said in the press release.
Lee has seen sales of more than $2 million in frozen pizza and pasta in the brands first year. Entering its second year of sales, the company is currently signed on with major distributors KeHE and UNFI. The offerings are available in retail outlets such as Fresh Market, Mothers, Fresh Thyme, the legendary Kings-Balduccis, and some regional Whole Foods Markets.
Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria operates two locations with a third opening in Spring 2023.
