West Virginia Little Caesars raises money for police K-9 teams

Little Caesars in Ohio County, West Virginia, have kicked off their annual Pizza Pizza Paws Campaign to benefit police K-9 handlers in the state, according to a WTRF report.

The pizzerias are raising money to create “On the Go Kits” for up to 185 K-9 teams, the report said.

“This year we are really lucky,” Dana Hammond, a district manager for Little Caesars told the news outlet. “We’ve paired it up with one of our busiest promotions with our Pretzel Crust Pizza. So we are hoping that drives a lot of traffic into our stores and that those folks will be generous and donate when they come in so that we can make sure we take care of these K-9s.”

“It’s just huge, the different sponsorships that we have throughout the community, Little Caesars being a big one. Especially with the K-9 division to help with that, it becomes very important with helping the community,” Sheriff Tom Howard, of Ohio County, said in the report.

Little Caesars hopes to raise $30,000 for K-9 handlers.
